Sherwin Thiarhia is currently working as the Coordinator of the Health and Community Services faculty at National Institute of Education and Technology (NIET) Hobart.He is also training and assessing Diploma of Community Services, Certificate IV in Ageing Support, Certificate III in Individual Support and First Aid.
Sherwin has a shared passion for teaching and supporting people in aged care and disability. Apart from teaching, he is working as a casual support worker and volunteering in the community services.
Previously, he has worked as Registered Nurse overseas and exposed in Emergency room, Intensive Care Unit and Medical ward.
Sherwin has achieved qualifications in Australia such as Certificate III in Individual Support, Diploma of Community Services, Diploma and Advanced Diploma of Leadership and Management.
Sherwin is a member of Australian Resuscitation Council.
His goal is to create a safe and inspiring learning environment for the students that fosters inclusivity and motivation.
